Edit view

The edit view is where you change an object's core fields and its metadata. It is a single form in the page's content area. The object's status and the lock / NSFW flags are set on the detail view, not here.

Edit form

The top card holds the object's core fields:

  • Title: a short descriptive label for the object.
  • Visibility: Private (staff only) or Public (everyone). Note that status still gates public display.
  • Featured status: whether the object is featured on the homepage.
  • Thumbnail: for an Item, pick which attached Media is the primary thumbnail.
  • Class: the kind of thing the object is, chosen from a vocabulary. A class is required. See Objects.

Metadata values

Below the form is the metadata editor, where you add or remove the object's property → value pairs and change existing ones. Each value is either a literal or a link, and links come in two shapes, link-out and link-in. All three are described in Metadata values. Editing values requires permission to edit the object itself.

Saving

Save changes writes your edits. Cancel returns to the detail view without saving.
